Fibroblasts are the main cells of the dermis, which produce proteins involved in skin elasticity and hydration, such as collagen and elastin.
The decrease in these fibroblasts reduces collagen production, thinning the dermis, wrinkles, reducing elasticity and darkening skin tone.
